The theme of the teleconference was “CERN-70 years of service to humanity”.

         On February 21, a televised meeting took place between the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, the communal institution “Kharkiv Regional Minor Academy of Sciences of the Kharkov Regional Council” and the European Organization for Nuclear Research “CERN” (Geneva). As part of the cooperation between KNURE and the Small Academy of Sciences, the teleconference was attended by employees of the Department of Physics, Associate Professor Vitaly Veniaminovich Kalinin, who has been a member of the MAN Academy of Sciences jury for many years, and the head of the department, Elena Nikolaevna Kovalenko.

         The theme of the teleconference was “CERN-70 years of service to humanity”. Speaker – Tatyana Grineva, Ph.D., researcher, leader of the ATLAS-LAPP group, Annecy Laboratory of Particle Physics (LAPP/IN2P3/CNRS), France; organizer of CERN training programs for Ukraine. Teleconference participants learned a lot of interesting things about the history and achievements of the world’s leading research center in nuclear physics.
